Lonny Boy's is all about quick service and fresh food fast, but behind the scenes, we're also dedicated to taking the time to perfect the way we do things. It all started 20 years ago when our family began perfecting our barbecue recipes. We traveled the world, learning from the best. When we opened our restaurant, we knew what it took to do things right, like smoking our pork and brisket for 12-plus hours, brining our turkey with the perfect ingredients, and making all our side dishes in-house. Today, customers reap the rewards of all our hard work when they line up to order. We serve everything up fast casual style, piping hot and ready in a hurry, because your time and satisfaction are what matter most to us.

Pioneer Park
435-627-4530 St George has many family-friendly parks, however, none are so notable as Pioneer Park. Tucked into the Red Rocks overlooking the St George Valley, Pioneer Park provides an afternoon of relaxing and fun. Unlike most parks, instead of grass fields and swing sets, the park is covered in gorgeous red rock formations that you can climb on and walkthrough. What the park is most well known for is the small slot canyon at the back of the park and the Sugar Loaf (a.k.a. the Dixie Rock) You can climb up to the Dixie Rock and view the entire St George Valley. This spot is great to take pictures and we have even seen someone hold their wedding on top of the formation. This spot is famous throughout the St George area and is a must-see while you are in town. The second well-known spot in pioneer park is the slot canyon. going back about 200 yards the first 150 everyone can walkthrough. It is the last 50 that brings people in every weekend. The slot narrows down to the extent that people enjoy trying to wiggle their way through the slot. Children and adults alike love this easy access experience. Along with the red rock formations around the slot that you can explore there is also access to the Desert Preserve Pioneer Park Trail and a pavilion for the family to a picnic at. If you can find it there is also a brick pioneer house hidden among the rocks. Upcoming is the Red Hills Desert Garden, which will have fish viewing areas the put at eye level with the fish and floral setups that will allow you to learn what plants grow the region.

Hiking
Fisher Towers
These landscapes are becoming as familiar as Monument Valley to cinephiles thanks to Hollywood’s ongoing love affair with them. The scenic drive up S.R. 128 along the Colorado River is your introduction to Fisher Towers, a cluster of soaring sandstone towers on BLM land northeast of Moab. After a short drive on a graded dirt road, you’ll park at a trailhead and primitive campground among big-wall climbers.Look for them as tiny dots on their ascents up the jagged monoliths as you rise and descend along the rugged contours of the eroding landscape. Highlights along the hiking trail include Titan (the tallest of the towers), views to Castleton Tower and a culminating panorama that must be very near the end of the earth.
Historical Places to Visit
Jacob Hamblin Home
435-673-2161 During the 1800`s Mormon pioneers arrived in Southern Utah. Jacob Hamblin was a missionary and known to help keep peace among the Mormons and the Indians. Hamblin was among the first to settle in Utah in 1847. In the year 1853, Jacob Hamblin was having a skirmish with an Indian. Hamblin pulled out his pistol to shoot the Indian down, but the pistol didn`t fire. This is when he realized that they should not be fighting with the Indians, but instead, they should live in peace with them. Jacob Hamblin helped to build a fort in Santa Clara, Utah. Santa Clara is only five minutes away from the beautiful St. George Utah real estate of Tenaya Sands. During the time of the Mormon settlers St. George, Utah was a difficult place to settle due to the hot, dry climate. The Jacob Hamblin home was finished in 1863 and is one of the few pioneer homes still standing in the St. George, Utah area.
